NUOVA VITA, this highly symbolic name meaning “New Life” has been given to the project designed to support female victims of violence who decide to leave their homes and embark upon a path to escape their abuse.

"Women often abandon their homes due to the overbearing behaviour, humiliation, denigration and physical violence sustained from a spouse or partner. And, in almost every case, they are without economic resources" explains President Moscatelli. "Some of them turn to shelters, but a large part must start over alone and they are often without prior work experience or the professional training that would allow them to find employment easily.
At times, this lack of work experience is also due to pressure sustained from the spouse/partner. It is for this reason that through the "Nuova Vita" project, we want to give these victims back the dignity and independence that they have lost by offering them opportunities and giving them the instruments necessary to reach economic independence for themselves and their children” concludes the President of Telefono Rosa.
Due to the generosity of our donors, the following “Nuova Vita” project objectives can be reached:
- to promote the introduction and reintroduction to employment through individually targeted action;
- to assist and increase the seeking of employment;
- to assist in the creation of a professional project therein providing support during both the seeking phase as well as during the actual employment phase.
