ADVICE FOR ITALIAN RESIDENT IMMIGRANTS - Fridays 10:00am - 12:00pm
Concrete assistance for immigrants to provide support during the introduction and integration processes in order to help combat prejudice and suspicion.
The migratory flux into our territory requires that an immigrant acquire the capacity to interpret and manage their daily situation in continuous confrontation with diverse cultural, civil, religions, social, economic, and legal models.
Available at foreign diplomatic delegations, these assistance desks are managed by volunteers who are appropriately trained and able to communicate in the native language of the immigrant.
Furthermore, because these desks are available in the “actual home” of the immigrant, they provide the best manner possible to approach them thereby allowing them to be more trusting and open in order to expose and tell their often painful, daily troubles.
Operational desks are currently available at the:
- Consulate General of the Republic of Peru, Via Sibari, 4 - Rome
- Consulate of Colombia, Via S. Sebastianello, 9 - Rome
- Consulate of Ecuador, Piazza Albania, 10 - Rome
Women’s Shelter
On behalf of the Commune of Rome, Telefono Rosa, a non-profit organization, manages an “International Shelter for Women’s Rights” where foreign women with particular pathologies are housed.
